Truthfully, there are a LOT of trends for 2024, but these are my predictions for the top 5 biggest trends of 2024.

Gone are the days when diamonds reigned supreme in the world of engagement rings. Today, couples are breaking free from tradition, opting for vibrant and unconventional gemstones to symbolize their unique love stories. Sapphires, emeralds, and even morganite have become popular choices, infusing a burst of color into the sacred commitment of engagement. These rings not only express personal style but also stand as a testament to the diverse spectrum of love.
Seen it? Yep!! I've seen stones in a charcoal grey color, topaz, and sapphire. One couple even used their dog's birth stone for their rings! I predict this trend will be around for a while. People are ready to shake up the norm and this is the perfect twist for personalization!

Seen it? Sure have!! Not only have I seen this trend for the last few years, I've leaned into it myself. Client's love that they get standard posed photography with a mix of candid, documentary style photos.

This can have its pros and cons and many photographers and clients alike are still wrapping their head around the idea.
Seen it? Not yet, but I'm currently following people in the industry to learn more. I predict this trend will be a big hit starting mid-2024 and continue for a long time, if not indefinitely.
4. Elevated Photo Sets
Move over traditional photo booths; it's time to embrace elevated photo sets that transform wedding portraits into stunning works of art. Couples are opting for carefully curated backdrops, props, and lighting setups that add a touch of drama and elegance to their photo sessions. Seen it? Absolutely! This trend started a few years ago and I predict it will continue for years to come.

Weddings are a perfect way for couples to express their personality! This year brides are taking it one step further and opting for ultra unique veils! Imagine pearls, colorful florals and even unique designs sewn in to a veil to make it a statement piece!
Thanks to social media, Brides can find artists who create custom veils, or vendors who sell them pre-made. If this is speaking to your soul, then I recommend doing research to see what resonates with you. Whether you like traditional or out-of-the-box, your veil can live on as a unique emblem of your personality.
